This might be one of the most elaborate costume I have ever made, the dress and the cloak include about 24 metres of fabric, all hand painted and bejewelled. I sculpted the snake brooches myself and they contain real malachite stones. The customer wanted it to be as accurate as possible, which is what I like to hear, I didn’t have to cut corners, I got to include as much detail as necessary, which all helps to make a costume look the very best it can. I love making drag costumes because they are larger than life, there’s no such thing as too much! Continue reading
